American Katy Perry�s debut single �I Kissed A Girl� has gone uncoiled in at number one on the UK charts.
The track, which has divided many because of its lyrics, topped the chart on download sales alone.
Last week�s number one, Kid Rock, fell to number two, piece the Verve are a new ingress at basketball team with �Love Is Noise�.
Meanwhile, in the album chart, Abba have held onto the top spot with their greatest hits collection, �Gold�.
And Duffy�s �Rockferry� and �Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends� by Coldplay exchanged places to sit at number two and triplet respectively.
